We've just experienced the worst typhoon ever.
The whole metro was flooded. Had to stay at work for 33 hours to watch over a knee-deep flooded store filled with more than a hundred stranded people. All I could do was give them shelter for the night and some bread.
I'm home finally. I can't touch any drawing tool today. I just want to rest.
==================
The aftermath was much worse. Like the 9/11 terrorism, it left the country in sorrow, mourning for the lost lives and hopes that were broken to pieces. I could not bear seeing it on the news, even on facebook.
I've seen this happen in other countries thru CNN, but I never thought I'd see my countrymen suffer the same painful blow. And because it happened in the national capital region and not in some distant province, it was more likely that there would be someone I knew who fell victim and lost everything they owned. In fact, there were relatives, co-workers, friends.
My family's okay, and I thank the Lord for giving us a home in a fairly high place, away from the flood. And I promise that after I'd recovered my workplace and restore it until operational, I will pay homage to the brave souls who survived the ordeal of this typhoon thru an artwork.
