By now you may have read the results of the first draft of Wacom's 50 finalists. So, I didn't get lucky
I haven't closely looked at the entries but I noticed a majority of digital art over traditional. Anyway, looking on the bright side, I made two good drawings. All I can say is good luck to the finalists and hope you enjoy the prizes.
Man, I wanted that Intuos so baaaaaad.
I was in a mall yesterday and saw an Intuos3... mighty nice...
What the fuck am I talking about? I'M A TRADITIONAL ARTIST, FOR PETE'S SAKE!
Anyway, during this process of waiting I've finished another page of my Firecaster comic which I'm not planning to post anytime soon. I want to concentrate on making more comic pages because it's my passion right now so please bear with me as I won't be posting any conceptual drawings or portraits or whatnots (and I'm pretty sure you won't even notice my hiatus).
Till then, ciao, and a big shout out to
-and a first for me to feature a piece of wonderful literature from the lovely ~LadyCrimson
The Quaternary can waitam older than when seas came parting mountain tops
and opium was merely air and sky and water...
am older than the eyes of the primal stillborn cat
whose lids never regaled horizons with green...
am older than the embers singed by Prometheus
and older than Pandora's fabled treasure chest...
am older than the monsters which haunted your grandparents, dear
so old that fossils had different names before the glaciers...
am old, and I love being old.
the wrinkles, and dried skin,
the short-sighted dream
of a time soon to pass...
But, my dear, for now and at last
I am young.
