2008 was a breakthrough year for me in terms of creativity and patience. I was able to explore different techniques and found some that suited my taste. I also overcame my dislike for doing portraits (mainly because I didn't think I had the patience to do that

).
More importantly, I was able to start (yes, at least - start) rendering my mini novel, Firecaster, into comic format. (please see my portfolio...
[link]I thank those who viewed, left kind comments and suggestions, faved and added me to their deviant watch. Happy 2009 to all of you, and may your talents and skills flourish even more. May this year also be a giving year for all, to support artists who are just starting by giving kind comments and technical advice. Let us give back, and perhaps be a mentor to even just one member who have dreams of becoming an artist, or a photographer, or a novelist, or a contortionist

or whatever.

Ladies' Man
I say farewell to this June 18, 2008 pencil work, for my cousin, who will fly back to Chicago today, bought it last night. I am happy that these two nameless kids will find a new home where they can be seen by a new audience.
