I'm a restaurant manager and I've been drawing since I was nine years old. I had very few influences back then. I was never a fan of Marvel or DC superheroes. My primary influence was my brother, who introduced me to drawing using ballpoint pens, and making our own comicbook superheroes on folded regular letter paper.
I had no formal training in the arts. I only took art seriously after joining deviantart in 2008. Since then I've been comfortable with details, been trying colors, being conscious on anatomy and shading, etc.
I grew up using pencils, hated portraits and just drew whatever pleased me. That changed when I got exposed here on dA. I got inspired to put my novel in comicbook format (FireCaster), tried on manga style drawing (I love anime, but not necessarily an otaku), and even got into digital art.
Currently I am an admin for #
